I noticed that I only read news headlines and then I make assumptions based on the headline. Especially news that comes in through the wire. One time, The Houston Chronicle had a headline that read, "Baby Elephant Dies from Herpes." Sometimes, the magic is in the mystery. When I read UT's The Travesty, I noticed that the headlines were funnier than the story and the story sort of wore it down. So in my attempt at an online publication, ThePaperOffline.com, I had a section devoted just to headlines and no articles to go with it. I guess I have a thing for one-liners. In retrospect, I did not mean for it to be like Jay Leno's Monday Night Headlines.
